Our Dare to Dream Gala to honor the accomplishments of Tom Monaghan who had the bold vision to transform tomato fields into an authentically Catholic community was a huge success. More than 270 guests, including Bishop Frank Dewane, attended the Vineyards Country Club on February 12 to thank the visionary who dared to dream and brought forth Ave Maria University, Ave Maria Parish Church, Ave Maria Parish School; the Donahue Academy, and the town of Ave Maria. In his book Pizza Tiger, Tom wrote his goal was "to go to heaven and to take as many people as possible with me.” The Dare to Dream video features some of the people whose lives have been transformed by Tom's dream.
